Verification Architect Embedded Software (Munich)

Challenge:

In this position of Verification Architect  you will be joining a team of verification experts within the verification team.  This group is responsible for developing (mostly automated) tests for our automatic transmission and hybrid/EV powertrain products.


Job description:

  • Developing strategies for test automation and manual verification. 
  • Overseeing and directing the test development processes, including designs, reviews, implementations, and test execution.
  • Evaluating and understanding our current state of testing and driving change to increase test automation and improve our overall testing practices.
  • Continuously improving testing methodology, best practices, and standards to provide consistent testing across products.
  • Periodically reviewing how our test strategy aligns with the latest available technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in estimation and scheduling of the software V&V effort.
  • Technical supervision of tester activities (tests executions and results, test automation, productivity/progress).
  • Analyze defects and investigate on technical problems.
  • Guarantee global test coverage and compliance to V&V process.

Profile:

  • Degree  in  electrical  or software engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in embedded software development, and verification and validation activities
  • Minimum 4 years as a technical lead Embedded Software verification
  • Knowledge about electronics is a must.
  • Experience in Functional Safety (ISO26262) is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of mechanics, hydraulics or system control strategy is a plus.
  • You are well organized and like to deliver correct and accurate results.
  • Thanks to your strong communication skills and good knowledge of English, you excel at teamwork and are strong in reporting knowledge and results.
  • You are an independent, perseverant and systematic worker with a goal-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Experience in automotive is preferred.
